Cetus is a macOS desktop layer that turns Claude Code, Codex, DeepSeek Harness, or its own built-in runtime into an always-on desktop assistant. Quick Launcher (hold both ⌘ keys) summons your agent over any app with current screenshot, frontmost app URL, and selected text as removable context chips. Automations lets you schedule one-off or recurring agent jobs (at/every/cron/daily syntax) that run in fresh background conversations. Global Quick Reply (double-tap right ⌥) drafts a reply to whatever thread is on screen without leaving it. Screen Context periodically captures and OCRs your screen on-device with Apple Vision so the agent can recall what you were working on.
Install
Download from https://github.com/drewnekota/cetus/releases/latest (macOS Apple Silicon, DMG)macOS Apple Silicon only (macOS 13+). Download the .dmg, open it, and move Cetus to Applications. On first launch, select your runtime: built-in Cetus runtime, or an existing claude/codex/dsh CLI. No separate model login needed — reuses existing CLI credentials.
