Notifies you when a conversation finishes on Windows: plays a sound (ding.mp3, configurable) and shows a native system toast with the session title and DSH whale logo (auto-registers an AppUserModelID so toasts are displayed). Bell button in the conversation header (click toggles sound, hover slides a volume bar, right-click opens notification settings with sound picker and upload), click-to-jump from the notification into the finished conversation (dsh-ding:// deep link), quiet-on-current (silent while focused on the finishing session), long-task progress reminders (first toast after 3 min, then every 5 min), question reminders for ask_user_question, tool-approval reminders, advanced settings with placeholder templates ({title}, {prefix}, {elapsed}, {question}, {tool}), export/import config, per-sound preview, and 4 notification test buttons.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:CAOGGL/dsh-dingGitHub install per README (Method A, recommended bundle): dsh plugin --profile web add github:CAOGGL/dsh-ding, then restart dsh web (requires pnpm — npm install -g pnpm). Method B: Settings → Plugin Market → search dsh-ding → one-click install. Method C (no pnpm): clone into $DSH_HOME/profiles/node_modules/dsh-ding/ and append an insert row to cordis.patch.yml (inject: ['webServer']). npm route noted 'coming soon' (dsh-ding not yet on npm as of 2026-08-26). Windows-focused.

- When does it notify?
- When a conversation completes (sound + toast), every 5 minutes for long-running tasks after the first 3 minutes, immediately when the agent asks a question (ask_user_question), and immediately when a tool call waits for approval.
- Why are my toasts not showing?
- Windows silently drops toasts from unregistered AppUserModelIDs — on first use the plugin registers one (Start Menu shortcut) so toasts are actually displayed.
- How do I install it?
