Index-free cross-agent session search for DeepSeek Harness
Cross-agent session search for DeepSeek Harness: directly scan past conversations from dsh, Codex, Claude Code, pi and OpenCode without creating a derived database or index. agent_session_search does a case-insensitive literal substring match across current source artifacts with sources/cwd/sort/limit filters, returning the matching session + strongest message + snippet + message window (relevance is intentionally basic — most occurrences per session, recency as tie-breaker); agent_session_read reads one discovered session's metadata and a message window with aroundSeq targeting. All sources are read-only; OpenCode's database is opened read-only.
Install
git clone https://github.com/dsh-external/dsh-session-search.git && dshx install dsh-session-search ./dsh-session-searchInstall via marisa/dshx: git clone https://github.com/dsh-external/dsh-session-search.git then dshx install dsh-session-search ./dsh-session-search, or install directly from a git URL — the plugin mounts into ~/.dsh/config.yaml and takes effect on the next dsh web/TUI start (hot with Web HMR). Manual mount: add an insert row with id dsh-session-search + name pointing at lib/index.js in ~/.dsh/config.yaml. No npm package (npm 404 verified 2026-08-30).
Compatibility
DSH (dsh web/TUI); reads dsh ~/.dsh/sessions/**/session.jsonl.zstd (multi-frame zstd), Codex, Claude Code, pi and OpenCode session stores — all read-only; zero external binaries.

FAQ
- Which session sources are supported?
- dsh (~/.dsh/sessions, multi-frame zstd), Codex, Claude Code, pi and OpenCode (SQLite read-only) — all read-only, no derived database.
- How does relevance work?
- Intentionally basic: the message with the most occurrences represents each session, with recency as the tie-breaker.
- Does it need external binaries?
- No — dsh frames are decoded frame-by-frame with node:zlib native; OpenCode's DB is opened read-only.
