salathleizhang/dsh-agent-sdk
Embeddable, plugin-based coding-agent runtime built on DeepSeek Harness
Embeds a coding-agent runtime in your own application. The default runtime forms a complete coding loop — DeepSeek model routing, durable session events, sandboxed bash, filesystem read/write/edit, glob, grep, cancellation, approvals and deterministic teardown — and is driven by a small API: query() runs a one-shot prompt and owns a fresh runtime and agent (leaving its iterator early cancels active work and disposes both), while createRuntime() exposes a reusable runtime you create agents from. runtimeSetup receives the process-wide Cordis context after the built-in composition loads and createAgent({ setup }) receives the agent-local context before publication, which is where extensions register their capabilities.
Install
npm install dsh-agent-sdkREADME Install block quoted verbatim. This is an ordinary npm library, not a DSH profile bundle, so it is not added with dsh plugin add — it is imported into your own application (import { query } from 'dsh-agent-sdk'). Registry check 2026-09-17: the name dsh-agent-sdk returned 404 on npm, so no version is asserted and the published name should be verified before relying on it.
Compatibility
README: Node.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0, and DEEPSEEK_API_KEY for the default DeepSeek adapter. It exposes a small TypeScript API over the public DeepSeek Harness packages while keeping Cordis available for trusted extensions, and the README states skills, goals, jobs, browser tools, subagents and UI integrations are deliberately not registered as placeholders — applications add those only when their provider, consumer, policy and lifecycle are complete.

FAQ
- How do I install it?
- The README's line is npm install dsh-agent-sdk; a registry check on 2026-09-17 returned 404, so verify the package name before relying on it.
- Is it a DSH plugin?
- No — the README describes an embeddable npm library that wraps the public DeepSeek Harness packages in a small TypeScript API; it is imported into an application, not added with dsh plugin add.
- What is deliberately missing?
- Per the README, skills, goals, jobs, browser tools, subagents and UI integrations are not registered as placeholders — applications add them only when their provider, consumer, policy and lifecycle are complete.
