DSH-better-sidebar transforms the DeepSeek Harness web interface with a service-oriented dual workbench: a right sidebar + bottom panel. Features include a file explorer with lazy-loading tree and CodeMirror editor, an embedded sandboxed browser with multiple tabs, a real xterm.js terminal (node-pty), a Git panel with diff + history, a background tasks monitor with agent topology, and Codex-style side threads that inherit full session context. The plugin exposes ctx.betterSidebar so third-party plugins can register tabs and file viewers on equal footing. On-demand loading keeps startup weight at ~325KB. Fully compatible with dsh-web-ui skins and i18n-aware (zh/en live switching).
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-better-sidebar@latestHard-refresh the browser (Cmd+Shift+R) after install. No DSH restart needed for client changes; restart only when host-side changes are made. Requires Node.js ≥20, pnpm ≥10.
Compatibility
Requires DSH 0.1.0-rc.8 or newer (peer deps updated for rc.8). Compatible with dsh-web-ui-all bundle (automatic mutual exclusion with aionui-panel via settings). Node.js ≥20, pnpm ≥10.
