dsh search: AnySearch web search provider for DeepSeek Harness (ctx.web)

Adds an AnySearch web-search provider to DeepSeek Harness. AnySearch is a single MCP gateway that aggregates exa, tavily, firecrawl and context7 behind one API key, so you get several search backends without configuring per-backend credentials. When api_key is set, queries go to that gateway; when it is absent, the same anysearch provider searches via Firecrawl POST /v1/search with no Authorization header. With both an AnySearch key and a firecrawl_api_key, developer-intent queries (repo / issue / PR / commit / skill) are answered from the Firecrawl Developer Index first — a semantic artifact index over READMEs, issues, PRs, OpenAPI specs and skills — falling back to AnySearch when it fails or returns nothing. The README notes the plugin is a port of pi-all-search.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-all-search

npm package dsh-all-search 0.2.5 (registry-verified 2026-09-13; repository field → github.com/RealAlexandreAI/dsh-all-search). README quick start quoted verbatim. Optional config row (- id: all-search / name: dsh-all-search) accepts api_key (AnySearch gateway key), base_url (MCP endpoint override) and firecrawl_api_key (optional Firecrawl key — sends Authorization: Bearer and enables the Developer Index branch). With no api_key the provider stays available and searches Firecrawl keylessly, so it is never a no-op.

Compatibility

DeepSeek Harness with the standard plugin manager; the provider registers as anysearch on ctx.web so the built-in web_search tool picks it up alongside the stock providers. No key is required to install — the keyless Firecrawl path works out of the box.

Recent updates

The README documents the provider surface, the config keys and the privacy behaviour rather than a versioned changelog; there is no release-history or migration section. Keys are stated to live only in the config file and never be logged. Version 0.2.5 on the public registry (verified 2026-09-13).

FAQ

How do I install dsh-all-search?
Run dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-all-search — the README's quick-start command. Optionally add a config row with your api_key; without one the provider still searches Firecrawl keylessly.
Do I need an AnySearch key?
No. With api_key set, queries use the AnySearch gateway; without it the provider reports available and searches Firecrawl /v1/search with no Authorization header. Set firecrawl_api_key if you want a private quota.
Which backends does it expose?
One provider, anysearch, on ctx.web: AnySearch aggregates exa / tavily / firecrawl / context7 behind a single key, and the Firecrawl Developer Index answers repo / issue / PR / commit / skill queries when both keys are configured.
