Bridge DeepSeek Harness (dsh) agents into Octo IM
Bridges DeepSeek Harness agents into Octo IM so a dsh agent becomes an Octo bot / teammate: it sends and receives messages, executes tasks, streams cards and handles approvals over the Octo WebSocket channel. Config is multi-bot — add one entry per bot under bots and each gets its own connection.
Install
npm install -g deepseek-channel-octoREADME quick-start install block quoted verbatim, including the npm install -g @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.0-rc.6 line above it. Registry check 2026-09-13: deepseek-channel-octo returns 404, so the npm form is not currently resolvable — the README's other documented path is the source checkout. Setup also needs an Octo bot: create one in the Octo admin console to get a Bot ID and Bot Token (bf_ prefix), then cp octo.config.example.yaml octo.config.yaml and fill in apiUrl and one or more bots entries.
Compatibility
The README labels the project a prototype: the Octo WebSocket channel MVP is live-verified (C2) and config-driven multi-bot support is done (C3), with the remaining staged plan in docs/TODO.yaml. It expects a global DSH CLI plus an Octo server and per-bot credentials.

FAQ
- How do I install deepseek-channel-octo?
- The README's quick start installs the DSH CLI globally (npm install -g @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.0-rc.6) then npm install -g deepseek-channel-octo; the npm name did not resolve on 2026-09-13, so the source checkout is the fallback the README documents.
- What credentials do I need?
- An Octo bot: create one in the Octo admin console to get a Bot ID and Bot Token (bf_ prefix), then copy octo.config.example.yaml to octo.config.yaml and fill in apiUrl and the bots list.
- Can I run more than one bot?
- Yes — the README's config-driven multi-bot support is done (C3); add one entry per bot under bots and each gets its own connection.
