Code-first React and TypeScript task apps rendered inline, in Canvas, full screen, or on localhost, with interaction state available to later agent turns and approval-gated MCP and API access.

DeepSeek Harness GenUI lets an agent build a focused React + TypeScript interface when a task is awkward in pure text — the coding agent writes ordinary React + TypeScript (not a component-tree DSL), the app can save user selections for the next agent turn, and a later turn reads those values and continues the task without asking the user to repeat input. Interfaces render Inline, in Canvas, fullscreen, or on localhost; later edits update the same app; a candidate that fails the build or source checks does not replace the last working version, and a crashing version is quarantined and rolled back when possible. Connected tools and public HTTPS routes must be declared — the harness asks for task-scoped access and undeclared calls are blocked. It is positioned for cases where the user needs to see a complex relationship or make several connected choices (calendar-slot picking, causal explorers, code-path explorers); plain questions and summaries should stay in prose.

FAQ

What kind of code does the agent write?
Ordinary React + TypeScript — not a component-tree DSL. The agent builds a real task app that can save user selections for a later agent turn to read and continue.
Which profiles are supported?
Web profiles only, on the tested Harness versions listed in the v0.14 release notes; TUI/headless profiles are not supported, and the --allow-build=esbuild flag enables the local compiler.
What if the generated app crashes?
A candidate that fails the build or source checks never replaces the last working version, and a crashing version is quarantined and rolled back when possible; undeclared tool/route calls are blocked.
