penguinpanda/sebastian-kitchen-board

Sebastian is a family kitchen & life assistant for DeepSeek Harness. It adds a Kitchen board tab to every session — time-based recipe cards generated on demand, editable inventory (equipment / ingredients / seasonings grouped with expiry highlighting), an editable health profile, equipment & household info, and one-click health analysis — plus a five-step init wizard (household → dietary needs & goals → inventory → equipment → working directory → preferred answer language). All state lives as plain Markdown files in the session workspace, surviving restarts with no recovery steps. It ships a warm kitchen-light theme and a kitchen-dark mode that follows the DSH theme and OS scheme, and an included chat assistant: an agent preset plus 8 domain skills that read and write the same data files.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add sebastian-kitchen-board

npm sebastian-kitchen-board 1.0.1 verified 2026-09-04 (npm maintainer penguinpanda == repo owner; repo field empty). Install: dsh plugin --profile web add sebastian-kitchen-board (or npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add sebastian-kitchen-board without a global dsh). First boot places the chat assistant into ~/.dsh/.agent-presets/sebastian/ and ~/.agents/skills/ (existing files never overwritten).

Compatibility

DeepSeek Harness web profile (official profile bundle); works inside a session workspace (default data dir: the workspace's data/ as plain Markdown); Node.js + pnpm required.

Recent updates

Installed as an official profile bundle so it boots with dsh web every time; process restarts and npx cache cleanups don't touch it.

FAQ

Where does Sebastian store data?
Inside the session workspace — plain Markdown files under the workspace's data/ directory by default. Without a workspace the board asks you to create or select one.
Is a chat assistant included?
Yes — an agent preset (kitchen-assistant persona) and 8 domain skills are installed automatically on first boot; chat and board read and write the same data files.
Which languages does it support?
The init wizard asks for a preferred answer language: Chinese, English, or follow the user.
