DSH time tool plug-in: strict ISO 8601 parsing, IANA time zone conversion, UTC calendar operation, fixed time difference, zero dependency
Deterministic time tool for agent sessions: strict ISO 8601 parsing, IANA timezone conversion, UTC calendar arithmetic, and fixed-duration diffs — zero dependencies, zero processes, pure functions. Actions: now, convert, add, diff. Safety: no eval, no new Function; calendar overflow (e.g. 2026-02-30) rejected via lookup tables; en-CA locale + h23 hourCycle fixed for stable formatting; add always operates on UTC with calendar-day semantics across DST.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:omdsh-dev/dsh-tool-timeGitHub install per README (English edition, DSH 0.1.0-rc.8): dsh plugin --profile web add github:omdsh-dev/dsh-tool-time (web) and dsh plugin --profile headless add github:omdsh-dev/dsh-tool-time (headless). Tarball path: git clone, npm install && npm pack, then dsh plugin --profile web add ./deepseek-ai-dsh-tool-time-*.tgz. The in-package dsh.bundle.patch auto-adds the plugin row (id: tool-time). No npm package published.
Compatibility
DSH 0.1.0-rc.8 profile/bundle plugin system. Strict ISO 8601 subset only; IANA timezone names validated via Intl.DateTimeFormat.

FAQ
- Which time formats are accepted?
- A strict ISO 8601 subset: YYYY-MM-DD (UTC midnight), YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ, and ±HH:MM offsets within ±14:00 (optional .SSS). RFC 2822 and natural language are rejected.
- How does add handle DST?
- add always computes on UTC with calendar-day semantics (cross-DST keeps the calendar-day intuition); timezone only affects local/formatted display.
- What are the safety guarantees?
- No eval, no new Function; strict input validation (IANA names via Intl, safe-integer amounts, enum units, ≤200-char strings); calendar overflow rejected by lookup tables.
