Session strata for the DeepSeek Harness Web GUI: the transcript's scrollbar becomes a to-scale, colour-coded m

dsh-strata is a real minimap of the session trajectory for the DSH web GUI: it takes the transcript's scrollbar seat and turns it into a scaled, colored picture of the whole loaded conversation. Band height is the row's real rendered height, so the map is a proportional compression of the scroll extent — a 300-line answer looks like 300 lines, forty tool calls look like forty tool calls, and the viewport lens maps 1:1 onto the scrollbar. Colors encode meaning: full-width blue is your message, grey blocks are model replies (height = how much it wrote), thin ticks are tool calls, green a slash command, amber a retry or output-cap cut, red a failed turn, and horizontal rules mark compaction checkpoints. A column of clickable anchor dots (blue per message, red per failure) jumps straight to a spot; hovering a user dot floats the 'clue wall' — every user message in the session packed masonry-style, tied to its anchor by a live bezier, with unloaded prompts chain-loading on click. The rail is keyboard-focusable (arrows, PageUp/Down, Home/End), and it hides itself when there is nothing to navigate; the native scrollbar returns whenever the map stands down, and uninstalling restores it permanently.

FAQ

What makes it different from a tick rail?
Other navigators draw one evenly-spaced dot per prompt; dsh-strata sizes each band by the row's real rendered height, so the map is a proportional compression of the scroll extent and shows the shape of the run.
Does it touch session data?
No — it is a pure browser half; the Node half is empty and no session data crosses the wire. Unloaded history above the window is read from the session's own export log.
What happens when the map stands down?
The moment there is nothing to navigate (Trajectory tab, no session, a transcript that does not scroll) the native scrollbar comes straight back, and uninstalling restores it permanently.
