DSH-TUI: a lightweight and fast terminal plugin connected directly to the DSH runtime.
DSH Mini TUI is a minimalist terminal UI plugin for DeepSeek Harness: it keeps the complete agent and tool workflow while moving routine execution activity out of the way, leaving the terminal focused on input and the model's final answer. Tool calls are quiet by default (failed calls print one compact line), with /verbose for numbered summaries and bounded details, /tool N to inspect recently retained inputs/results, /cancel or Ctrl+C to cancel, Ctrl+V for bracketed multi-line paste, /paste for the Windows clipboard, and /help for commands. It includes a gradient DEEPSEEK wordmark, compact runtime context (active model, working directory, /help hint), a deep-sea palette, stable path colors, answer-first conversation flow, native DSH integration (scoped tools, approvals, agent lifecycle, durable Session log), resize redraws, window titles, and a Windows-specific experience.
Install
dsh plugin --profile tui add dsh-mini-tui@latestInstall the latest package from npm into the DSH tui profile with dsh plugin --profile tui add dsh-mini-tui@latest, then launch with dsh --profile tui. Note: the deepseek-harness-tui package on npm belongs to a different project — the correct package name for this project is dsh-mini-tui. A current-user context-menu installer (Open DSH TUI here / Open DSH TUI full access) is included for Windows Explorer.
Compatibility
DeepSeek Harness terminal profile (dsh --profile tui). It is the terminal presentation plugin for DSH, not a standalone agent framework — DSH still owns model routing, tools, permissions, persistence, and agent execution. Consumes published @deepseek-ai/* packages at 0.1.0-rc.6; line-oriented TUI without the Web client's graphical cards or full-screen scrollback.

FAQ
- Does Mini TUI replace DeepSeek Harness?
- No — it is the terminal presentation plugin for DSH, not a standalone agent framework; DSH still owns how models and agents run.
- Which npm package name is correct?
- dsh-mini-tui — the README warns that the deepseek-harness-tui package on npm belongs to a different project.
- How do I see tool details?
- Tool calls are quiet by default; /verbose toggles numbered summaries and bounded details for subsequent calls, and /tool N prints the retained input and result for call N (latest 200 calls available).
