zhangzujian/dsh-adaptive-subagent-report
Makes wake-up report delivery from continuable background subagents state-aware on DeepSeek Harness. By default those subagents report through parent.followup(), so a parent whose current turn runs for a long time cannot claim the next-turn messages and its queue grows even while it keeps working. With the plugin: an idle parent keeps the original followup() wake-up; a running parent keeps the original report service and waking accounting but routes the send through steer() so it enters next-step context; a terminal driver gap wakes the existing context without inserting a second report if an accepted report is still pending once the exact parent is naturally idle; and on explicit user stop it records the exact successfully delivered report MessageId-to-childId associations and keeps only known IDs still present in the rc.6 pending queues (nextStep / nextTurn, including their transition overlap) without scanning unrelated source framing.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:zhangzujian/dsh-adaptive-subagent-reportREADME installation: add the package to the DSH profile with the GitHub form, or add a local checkout row to cordis.patch.yml (- insert: / - id: adaptive-subagent-report / name: file:///absolute/path/to/dsh-adaptive-subagent-report/index.mjs?v=0.1.1). The plugin injects subagents and agents and must run in the Host plane — do not install it inside an agent preset isolate. Removal: delete the profile entry or package; teardown disables the policy and restores the previous method when it still owns the seam, and already-accepted reports remain owned by DSH.
Compatibility
Deliberately targets exactly @deepseek-ai/dsh-agent@0.1.0-rc.6, @deepseek-ai/dsh-agent-loop@0.1.0-rc.6, @deepseek-ai/dsh-subagent@0.1.0-rc.6 and @deepseek-ai/cordis@4.0.1, with Node.js 24 or newer. Installation must discover the AgentLoop manifest through DSH_INSTALL_DIR or package resolution anchored at the DSH process entry point, and fails loudly if discovery or a non-empty string version is unavailable; package metadata also declares the exact rc.6 AgentLoop peer.

Recent updates
README documents the behaviour matrix (quiet unchanged; wakeup to an idle parent = unchanged followup turn; wakeup to a running parent = one next-step context message preserving upstream report identity and accounting; wakeup to a user-cancelled parent = retained context through inject with no automatic restart) and states the plugin does not copy report content, create report messages, modify DSH package files or patch prototypes. Verification: npm test, an integration run with DSH_INSTALL_DIR=$PWD, and live probes (npm run test:live, npm run test:live-cancel) that are intentionally excluded from credential-free CI.
FAQ
- How do I install dsh-adaptive-subagent-report?
- Run dsh plugin --profile web add github:zhangzujian/dsh-adaptive-subagent-report, or add a local file: insert row to cordis.patch.yml. It must run in the Host plane — not inside an agent preset isolate.
- What problem does it solve?
- Continuable background subagents report via parent.followup(); a parent busy with a long turn cannot claim those next-turn messages, so the queue grows. The plugin routes reports into next-step context while the parent runs and keeps upstream accounting intact.
- Which DSH version does it support?
- Exactly 0.1.0-rc.6 — it pins @deepseek-ai/dsh-agent@0.1.0-rc.6, dsh-agent-loop@0.1.0-rc.6, dsh-subagent@0.1.0-rc.6 and @deepseek-ai/cordis@4.0.1, with Node.js 24+. The README describes it as a version-locked compatibility adapter.
