xczhanjun/lazeword
A cozy offline vocabulary trainer for the whole family: 1094 curated words, spaced repetition, 6 quiz types, spelling games and a lazy large-screen mode; opens as a sidebar panel and also runs standalone as one HTML file.
lazeword is a bilingual vocabulary trainer that ships both as a DSH Web sidebar panel and as a single self-contained HTML file. Word cards show phonetics, morpheme breakdowns and the model's real tokenization of the word. Scheduling uses FSRS-5, the parameter family behind Anki, over an append-only and replayable learning trajectory, with wrong answers auto-queued. The library runs from about 1,141 core words by default up to 15,000+ entries in advanced mode, covering Oxford 5000 plus subject and classics packs. It ships six quiz types, letter-tracing and word-racing games, English plus Cantonese and Putonghua read-aloud with IPA highlighting, up to four learner profiles with a parent report, AnkiConnect sync and TSV export with review-log import, one-click Traditional/Simplified switching, shareable deep-link URLs, and an AI tutor whose lesson degrades to a fully deterministic fallback when no model is available.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-lazewordnpm package dsh-lazeword 0.2.0 (registry-verified 2026-09-22; the registry repository field points back at github.com/xczhanjun/lazeword). The README also documents running the same app standalone by opening app/lazeword.html, and a DSH Desktop install. After adding the bundle, the panel appears in the sidebar.
Compatibility
DSH Web profile: the panel opens the app as a blob-URL iframe, so the core trainer needs no server and no network. Zero runtime dependencies and fully offline for the non-AI features. An optional Cloudflare Worker shipped in the repo keeps a DeepSeek API key server-side for AI stories and explanations. MIT licensed; the README states the plugin is community-maintained and not affiliated with DeepSeek.

FAQ
- How do I install lazeword in DeepSeek Harness?
- Run dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-lazeword and open the panel in the DSH sidebar. The same app also runs standalone from app/lazeword.html, and the README documents a DSH Desktop install.
- Does lazeword need an API key?
- Not for the core trainer. It is a self-contained, zero-dependency HTML app that works offline, and the AI tutor falls back to a fully deterministic lesson without a model. AI stories and explanations need DeepSeek, and the repo ships an optional Cloudflare Worker that keeps the key server-side.
- Does it work with Anki?
- Yes. The README documents one-click TSV export, AnkiConnect sync and review-log import, so lazeword and Anki share one deterministic FSRS timeline.
