tsonglew/dsh-media-preview
Audio/video FileViewer for dsh-better-sidebar: native inline playback for mp4/webm/mkv/mov and mp3/flac/wav, served by a Range-capable streaming media route.
dsh-media-preview adds audio and video preview to the dsh web GUI via dsh-better-sidebar's FileViewer seam: open an .mp4/.webm/.mkv/.mov/… or .mp3/.flac/.wav/… file in the sidebar file tree and it plays inline with native controls. It uses a dedicated route instead of better-sidebar's built-in /sidebar/file media route, which reads whole files into memory and has no HTTP Range support — so large media files stream with range requests instead of loading fully.

FAQ
- Which files can it preview?
- Video: mp4/webm/mkv/mov and more; audio: mp3/flac/wav and more — opened inline in the sidebar file tree with native controls.
- Why a dedicated route?
- better-sidebar's built-in media route reads whole files into memory and has no HTTP Range support; dsh-media-preview streams with range requests, so large files don't load fully.
- What are the prerequisites?
- dsh-better-sidebar >=0.4.0, which exposes the ctx.betterSidebar.registerFileViewer seam this plugin registers into.
