severin-ye/uagent-sync#packages/dsh

Cross-device workspace backup, restore, and ecosystem update via the uagent-sync CLI.

Cross-device workspace sync for agent setups. It exports your agent workspace — git submodules, configs, skills and API keys — to a private GitHub repository, and on a new machine a single pull brings it back: submodules reset to their exact commits, MCP servers are rebuilt, skills reinstalled, configs merged and API keys templated into place. It exists because keeping several machines in step otherwise means hand-running git submodule update, npx skills add and copy-pasting config files. The repo ships one CLI with DSH, opencode and Codex entry points so a multi-agent machine backs up and restores as one unit.

Install

dsh plugin --profile <name> add uagent-sync-dsh

README installation for DeepSeek Harness — npm form (recommended; bundles the CLI as a dependency). The monorepo sub-package form is documented for installing straight from GitHub without a build authorization: dsh plugin --profile <name> add "github:severin-ye/uagent-sync#master&path:packages/dsh". Replace <name> with your profile (e.g. web).

Compatibility

Node.js 18+. One CLI with three agent entry points: DSH (this plugin), opencode (global npm install -g uagent-sync or npx uagent-sync) and Codex (codex plugin marketplace add severin-ye/uagent-sync). Requires a private GitHub repository to hold the workspace export.

README frames the problem and the fix directly: multiple machines each running different plugins, MCP servers, skills and submodule commits — replaced by push "Friday backup" on the main machine and pull on the new laptop.

FAQ

How do I install uagent-sync for dsh?
Run: dsh plugin --profile <name> add uagent-sync-dsh (npm form, bundles the CLI). Without a build authorization use "github:severin-ye/uagent-sync#master&path:packages/dsh".
What exactly gets synced?
Your agent workspace: git submodules (reset to exact commits), configs, skills, MCP server definitions and API keys (templated), exported to a private GitHub repo you control.
Does it work for opencode and Codex too?
Yes — uagent-sync ships one CLI with entry points for DSH, opencode (npm install -g uagent-sync, commands uagent-sync / opencode-sync) and Codex (codex plugin marketplace add severin-ye/uagent-sync).
