60-frame theme-adapted monochrome whale diving animation next to DSH Web turn state: propagated water surface, seamless loop closure, resource embedding, prefers-reduced-motion static PNG fallback, complete cleanup when stopped
dsh-whale-animation places a persistent, theme-aware monochrome whale-dive animation beside the DeepSeek Harness turn status: a 60-frame loop (breach → apex → deep dive) with a propagating water surface, an original articulated whale (compact head, lifted snout, eye, mouth, short fluke, flexing torso/tail), closed-loop playback with zero runtime network requests, and a static PNG fallback for reduced-motion users. The whale uses its normal monochrome treatment in light mode and inverts in dark themes. Every frame ships as embedded data in the built client, so the gallery users receive matches the committed assets.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:LeemanCheung/dsh-whale-animationGitHub source install per README: dsh plugin --profile web add github:LeemanCheung/dsh-whale-animation, then hard-refresh the DSH Web page (restart DSH if the running profile has cached its client bundle). For the current release, pin: dsh plugin --profile web add github:LeemanCheung/dsh-whale-animation#v0.3.0. Uninstall: dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-whale-animation. No npm package documented.
Compatibility
DeepSeek Harness Web profile. Pure client-side animation: a persistent, theme-aware monochrome whale-dive animation beside the DSH turn status. Self-contained bundle: animated WebP + PNG fallback embedded in the built client — no runtime network requests and no source-frame directory required. Theme-aware (monochrome in light mode, inverted for prefers-color-scheme dark / html.dark / html[data-theme=dark]) and reduced-motion aware (prefers-reduced-motion switches to a static fallback). 60 frames at 33 ms cadence (1.980 s loop); source canvas 352×352 px displayed at 84×84 CSS px.

FAQ
- Does it make network requests at runtime?
- No — the animated WebP and PNG fallback are embedded in the built client bundle; there are no runtime URLs and no source-frame directory required.
- How does it behave in dark mode?
- The whale uses its normal monochrome treatment in light mode and is inverted for prefers-color-scheme: dark, html.dark, and html[data-theme='dark'].
- Is it safe for motion-sensitive users?
- Yes — prefers-reduced-motion switches the animation to a static fallback.
