krislavten/ai-sdk-provider-dsh
AI SDK provider that drives a DeepSeek Harness (dsh) runtime as a LanguageModelV3 — works on AI SDK v6 and v7
An AI SDK provider that drives a DeepSeek Harness (dsh) runtime as a language model. Because dsh is a full agent harness (agent loop, tools, skills, MCP, sessions), this provider wraps a dsh runtime subprocess behind the AI SDK LanguageModel interface so you can drive a harness agent from generateText / streamText the same way ai-sdk-provider-claude-code drives Claude Code, keeping the AI SDK as the single orchestration surface. Credentials come from DEEPSEEK_API_KEY (DEEPSEEK_BASE_URL optional, any OpenAI-compatible gateway).
Install
npm install ai-sdk-provider-dshnpm package ai-sdk-provider-dsh 0.2.0 (registry-verified 2026-09-10; registry repository field -> github.com/krislavten/ai-sdk-provider-dsh). This is an AI SDK provider library, not a dsh plugin bundle — it wraps a dsh runtime subprocess behind the AI SDK LanguageModel interface, and the dsh runtime ships bundled (pinned exact versions), so no separate runtime install is needed.
Compatibility
Node.js >= 22.19; ESM only. Implements the LanguageModelV3 specification (ai@^6 with @ai-sdk/provider@^3 and ai@^7 with @ai-sdk/provider@^4). DeepSeek Harness family pinned to exact 0.1.0-rc.6.

Recent updates
README states the provider pins the harness SDK family to exact versions, so the runtime version is a deliberate platform-side decision — upgrade the pin explicitly, never by range drift.
FAQ
- How do I install ai-sdk-provider-dsh?
- Run: npm install ai-sdk-provider-dsh. It is an AI SDK provider library rather than a dsh plugin, and it bundles a default dsh runtime composition, so no separate runtime install is needed.
- Which AI SDK versions are supported?
- A single build implements LanguageModelV3, so it serves both ai@^6 (with @ai-sdk/provider@^3) and ai@^7 (with @ai-sdk/provider@^4).
- How are credentials supplied?
- From the runtime environment: DEEPSEEK_API_KEY is required and DEEPSEEK_BASE_URL is optional (any OpenAI-compatible gateway works).
