Environment housekeeper for the agent: toolchain inventory (node/pnpm/git/gh/ffmpeg/browsers), scratch/cache scan with whitelist-guarded one-click cleanup, and the machine rules file (AGENTS.md) editor - all in the Web GUI settings.
An environment housekeeper for DSH, surfaced inside the DSH Web GUI settings. Three jobs: a toolchain inventory that auto-detects node/pnpm/git/gh/ffmpeg/Edge/Chrome locations and versions; an honest cache-cleanup pass that scans the .tmp and cache directories agents leave behind and reports size, file count, mtime, 4000-file truncation markers and 30-day-untouched highlighting with click-to-expand content preview, then builds a plan before deleting anything; and editing of the machine rules file (AGENTS.md) from the UI.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:guo6x/dsh-housekeeperREADME install (the GitHub channel is the documented supported release channel), followed by a dsh web restart. Requirements: the DSH web profile and Node >= 22 — no account, API key or extra service. The committed lib/ output means GitHub installs do not run a build script; from a checkout use dsh plugin --profile web add .. Confirm the install with dsh plugin --profile web list dsh-housekeeper and look for the panel in the DSH Web GUI settings.
Compatibility
DSH web profile, Node >= 22. Zero runtime dependencies. Machine-rule (AGENTS.md) edits are presented as diffs before they are written.

Recent updates
README documents the safety stance for cleanup: nothing is deleted until you create and confirm a plan, the scan reports its own truncation limits instead of hiding them, and untouched-for-30-days items are highlighted rather than auto-selected.
FAQ
- How do I install dsh-housekeeper?
- Run: dsh plugin --profile web add github:guo6x/dsh-housekeeper (the supported release channel), then restart dsh web. GitHub installs skip the build step because lib/ is committed.
- The housekeeper panel is missing — what should I check?
- Confirm the plugin is installed in the web profile: dsh plugin --profile web list dsh-housekeeper. It requires the web profile and Node >= 22.
- Does cache cleanup delete files automatically?
- No — the scan reports sizes, mtimes and truncation markers, and you create a plan first; deletion only happens on the plan you confirm.
